Open HexDrop

Find the droplet in your menu bar and open it whenever you need it.

Pick a color

Press ⌘⇧E, then use macOS’s color sampler to choose your pixel and confirm.

Copy and move on

Press Enter or ⌘C to copy the selected value and keep working.

Grab a color from another app

  1. Press ⌘⇧E
  2. Use the system sampler to target the color
  3. Confirm your choice
  4. Paste wherever you need it

Copy the same color in another format

  1. Open HexDrop
  2. Select the color from history
  3. Open formats (chevron or F)
  4. Copy HEX, RGB, HSL, SwiftUI, Tailwind, or more

Add, import, or export colors

  1. Open HexDrop
  2. Add a known color manually, or import a saved color list
  3. Review the colors in history
  4. Export the list when you want to move or archive it

Reverse a palette order

  1. Open HexDrop with colors in history
  2. Tap the arrow beside the quick format pills
  3. Preview oldest-first or newest-first order
  4. Tap the checkmark to save the order when it looks right
